The Client
The Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society (established in 1971) is a registered Charity Organisation that cares for people with cancer providing them with complete Palliative Care Services in line with international standards.
The Project
Using front-end technologies Opium Works was appointed to create the website for the Anticancer Society Cyprus. The aim of the site was to provide support to the patients’ families and carergivers and also educate the wider public about cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and relief.
The Approach
Our team created a custom website that enabled users to browse seamlessly and with a purpose. A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming between deciding on treatment, figuring out finances, and dealing with fear and emotional concerns. That’s why we approached the matter with the utmost care. Our team developed a community to address the day-to-day concerns of survivors and patients.
To ensure brand synergy, colour palettes, typography and imagery were utilised in line with AntiCancer's core values. Helping cancer survivors and their loved ones was very important to us. We believe in putting the survivor and the patient first, and that is why we created tools and resources on site to help ease the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
