The Challenge
K Cineplex is Cyprus’ first Multiplex Cinema which consists of 5 multi-screen entertainment complexes located in Limassol, Larnaca, Nicosia, at The Mall of Cyprus and at the Kings Avenue Mall Paphos. The fully equipped venues that have the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art screen and sound technology, combined with a unique design of total luxury and viewing comfort, make K Cineplex a distinctive cinema experience and a superior destination for every movie lover. K Cineplex aimed to inform its followers about movie releases and special events, so as to create anticipation and excitement, while also increasing engagement with the page. The main goals included increasing its Facebook page’s likes, Instagram following and reaching a wider audience.
What did we do?
To help the K Cineplex brand achieve its goals and objectives, we created content based on the movies that were going to be shown at the cinemas. Specifically, we used content that was created by the official social media accounts of the movies that were scheduled to be premiered and also created templated visuals for premiere days. Our goal was to inform its followers about the upcoming movies’ premiere dates and special events organized by the brand. Additionally, we notified users when they were able to pre-book their tickets for upcoming movies and posted stories with more content about the movies to keep creating enthusiasm. To raise brand awareness, along with the engagement rate of K Cineplex we consistently posted, many times per week, more than one post for each movie, and advertised the posts on Facebook and Instagram to reach a wider audience. We were also in charge of responding to direct messages people sent on Facebook Messenger and Instagram and answering their questions. To increase engagement and create excitement for new blockbuster movies, we ran competitions on both Instagram and Facebook, with prizes like movie merchandise and tickets. By running these competitions we were able to increase K Cineplex Facebook page’s likes and Instagram followers and promote many movies effectively to a wide audience.
