The Client
Costa Coffee is a renowned coffeehouse chain known for its high-quality coffee and warm, inviting atmosphere. It always aims to create memorable experiences for its customers, and in its attempt to reposition the brand in the marketplace, as well as in the eyes of consumers by elevating its relevance and approachability, we targeted social media as the means that would take Costa Coffee to the next level. Through content creation that included static photography and trendy short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok, we aimed to increase the engagement and followership of the brand, while ultimately increasing store traffic.
The Execution
Our production for the static photography was focused on showcasing Costa Coffee’s diversity of offerings, as well as its welcoming, inclusive and fun character. Our approach included portraying the artistry and craftsmanship behind the scenes, the aesthetics of both interior and exterior spaces, different pastry and beverage selections, as well as the takeaway experience.
In terms of our short-form video content, our intentions were twofold: to demonstrate a variety in refreshing drinks and coffees, and to raise awareness about the brand’s recruitment campaign, inviting people to become baristas at the well-known establishments. In both cases, our approach was to incorporate trending sounds that would allow us to increase our online visibility, as well as current trends that would showcase the brand’s current and cool persona. By creating fun, inspirational and dynamic videos for Instagram and TikTok, we wanted to grab the attention of users, as well as capture the approachable and welcoming ambience of the brand.
The Results
To say the results of our first production were a massive success, would be an understatement! All of our content was enthusiastically perceived, increasing the engagement and followership of Costa Coffee, with one particularly unique and trendy video from the recruitment campaign, gaining over half a million ORGANIC views! We were able to successfully execute the brand’s repositioning as a multifaceted destination for coffee lovers, garner a greater response from audiences and showcase the brand’s diverse and relatable identity.
