In 2018, Opium Works collaborated with Metaxas & Metaxas to boost and restructure the digital presence of AFIS – a non–profit organization that was founded on the initiative of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), aiming at the collection and management of Portable Electric Strips (PES or batteries). Our social media strategy was focused on three main pillars: raising awareness for battery life; educating on the hazards of not recycling batteries and building a loyal and long-lasting relationship with consumers.
Our team was appointed to design and develop the website of AFIS. We provided a seamless functionality due to its amount of available information. The user journey to the end result had to be as fast and accurate as possible. We developed the website on a Content Management System (Drupal 8) that provided the client to change the content at any given time. The website was multilingual and featured CTAs (call–to–actions) to generate leads and conversions.
We integrated a news section to increase traffic to the website and included company information, recycling benefits and goal to further reach the organization's awareness. To maintain brand synergy, the website was designed in line with AFIS' core values.
